Jasper Police report they’ve noticed an increase among juveniles in crimes involving Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM).
They have recently charged 3 alleged underage offenders with others being investigated.
The department reminds the public that sending nude photographs of, or to, anyone under the age of 18 is against the law, even if it you send a photo of yourself to someone you know.
Police say it appears juveniles are unaware of the seriousness of the offenses and are urging parents to educate their kids about the laws and the repercussions of the criminal acts.
