The Vincennes Community School Board has approved an agreement to buy some property.
On Monday night, School Superintendent Greg Parsley explained that the land is a portion of a back lot at 2003 Greenview Drive.
He said the property owners have already agreed to a price of $7,000.
Parsley went on to say that the piece of property has long been desired by the school corporation in order for the school system to have 3 parcels of ground behind Franklin Elementary Schools.
Obtaining the property allows the school to move forward at some point with the construction of a playground for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
If all goes to plan the sale will be closed by July.
