Storms cause damage in Gibson and Posey Counties

Multiple tornado and thunderstorm warnings were issued throughout southwest Indiana Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The severe weather were from the remnants of the most recent gulf hurricane.

There were heavy rains and high winds and a confirmed tornado in Posey County.

In Mt. Vernon, Indiana a train was tipped over and there was structural damage to businesses ad the Southwind Plaza.

In Gibson County there some twisted and downed trees and property damage reported.

There were no injuries as a result of the storms.

Knox County Emergency Management reports no damage occurred in Knox County.
