The work on US 50 West to replace a pipe continues with a portion of the road closed to traffic just west of the Knox/Daviess County line.
The pipe was scheduled to be be installed yesterday.
The detour on State Roads 57, 61 and 241 has created increased traffic on those two lane highways. Motorists are advised to be aware of that extra traffic and drive safely and plan accordingly.
US 50 is set to reopen next week.
