Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s eight years in office have been defined by what he calls a “new Indiana.” Known as the “Builder Governor,” Holcomb oversaw transformative projects, including completing I-69 to Evansville, double-tracking the South Shore Line, and constructing Indiana’s first new state park lodge in 85 years.
Holcomb also prioritized public health, funneling $300 million into county health departments and expanding mental health services. His administration secured $6.7 billion in federal infrastructure funds, invested in broadband expansion, and added $154 billion to Indiana’s GDP.
Holcomb told Howey Politics Indiana he wants to be “measured by results, not rhetoric.” His tenure was marked by a historic budget surplus, bipartisan infrastructure funding, and investments in education, life sciences, and clean energy projects.
