An early morning confrontation at a Warrick County gas station has led to the arrest of a Missouri man on multiple felony charges.

Indiana State Police say 28-year-old Eli B. Gunden allegedly fired two shots into a woman’s car at Casey’s gas station on State Road 68 in Lynville just after midnight Monday. The woman wasn’t injured. A news release says Gunden made an unsolicited comment to the women and when she didn’t respond he fired shots.

Gunden fled the scene, and was later spotted in Dubois County on I64 and a police pursuit began going through Dubois and Spencer counties. Gunden eventually pulled to the side of the road on US 231.  Authorities say he refused to exit his SUV after stopping, leading to a two-hour standoff involving multiple agencies.

Gunden eventually surrendered without further incident and was taken to the Spencer County Jail, where he’s being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
