A Bicknell family is in need of assistance after a weekend house fire.

Fire crews responded Saturday evening to 921 Charles Street, where they found heavy flames at the rear of the home. Strong winds spread the fire quickly, but all occupants escaped safely—thanks to their family dog, who alerted them to the danger.

The family is now in need of clothing donations. Items can be dropped off at the Bicknell Fire Department at 210 East First Street during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, February 11, at 7:00 PM. Other arrangements can be made by messaging the department’s Facebook page, Bicknell Fire and Rescue.
