The Knox County Health Department is teaming up with Versiti Blood Center for a spring blood drive on Thursday, March 20th, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the Bierhaus Building parking lot, 328 North 2nd Street, in Vincennes.
Blood donations are urgently needed due to a recent drop in donations, caused by winter weather and rising illnesses. Dr. Alan Stewart, Health Officer for the Knox County Health Department, urges eligible donors to help, saying, “Every donation counts. Your donation could help save a life.”
Donors can schedule an appointment in advance through the Versiti Donor Portal. Versiti supplies blood to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
