The Indiana Hospital Association and State Health Commissioner Dr. Lindsay Weaver presented the recognition as part of the fifth annual INspire program, funded by the Indiana Department of Health’s Safety PIN grant.

Good Samaritan was recognized with the honor by implementing best practices in areas like infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, perinatal substance use, and maternal hypertension. Perinatal Services Nurse Manager Madelyn Taylor says the recognition reflects the dedication and care provided to mothers and babies.

For the first time, all of Indiana’s birthing hospitals received one of two INspire recognitions, which officials says shows progress in improving maternal and infant health in the state.
