Prep Time for Severe Weather & Floods

Governor Mike Braun has proclaimed this week as Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Indiana.

The National Weather Service and emergency partners will conduct a statewide tornado drill on Tuesday, March 11, at 10:15 AM Eastern, 9:15 AM Central. The test will use live tornado warning codes but is only a drill. If needed, it will be postponed to March 12. The alert will activate the Emergency Alert System and NOAA Weather Radio but will not trigger a Wireless Emergency Alert.

The NWS encourages businesses, media, and organizations to become Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors, helping promote weather awareness and safety.
