Indiana State Police in the region have been busy with major investigations.
ISP in Evansville reported late last week that a New Harmony man was arrested for dealing meth following a single-vehicle crash in Posey County. Officers responding to the crash found Michael Roettger, 66, showing signs of impairment. A search of his residence led to the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a syringe. Roettger and his wife, Christine, were arrested and taken to the Posey County Jail on several charges.
Meanwhile, the ISP Jasper Post released details on an investigation in Orange County. Following a 2021 report from the Department of Child Services, police identified Nathaniel Lang, 22, of French Lick, as a suspect in a case of sexual misconduct with a minor. DNA evidence collected in 2023 was processed and confirmed in December 2024, leading to an arrest warrant issued earlier this month. Lang was arrested on March 10 and is being held without bond on a Level 5 felony charge.
