A new survey from Radius Indiana shows the labor market in Southern Indiana stabilizing after pandemic disruptions.

Radius Indiana is the economic development organization for the eight-county region of Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, and Washington Counties.

According to the  Southern Indiana Business Report , the 2024 Wage and Benefit Survey found workforce turnover dropped from 24% in 2022 to 11% this year.

Eighty-five percent of employers surveyed gave raises in the past year and plan to do so again. More than half expect to hire additional staff, while 24% anticipate no changes in workforce size.

The survey also found wages in the region grew 20% on average, though they remain 17% below the national average.

Bob Grewe, executive director of the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation says the findings help businesses understand regional compensation trends and attract talent.
