A new AI company is launching out of the Pantheon in downtown Vincennes this week.

The business incubator announced earlier this month that TerraForce, an Ag Tech startup, created by founder Michial Jacob has created new farm automation.

Nichole Like, CEO of The Pantheon, said TerraForce’s success highlights the incubator’s role in supporting entrepreneurs.

“Terra Force is something that came out of the Ag Tech committee. So we have farmers specialty crop farmers sitting at the table with innovators like Mike, he’s a mechanical engineer and figuring out their problems. One of their problems is labor on our melon farms. So, Mike has developed an autonomous melon harvester, a robot that picks melons.

TerraForce uses AI-powered robotics to handle labor-intensive farm tasks.

A press conference to mark the launch will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pantheon.

Jacobs plans to have his new A-I harvester on display on 5th Street downtown during that press conference.

Due to that 5th will be closed from Main to Busseron from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
