The First City Music Festival is again offering a $500 scholarship in memory of Evan Twitty, a nationally recognized guitarist and local music figure who passed away in 2020.
The First City Music & Arts Evan Twitty Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in Knox County planning to study music or the arts at an Indiana higher education institution.
Applicants must be involved in music or the arts and attend a recognition event at the First City Music Festival or Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous. Those with volunteer experience at the festival and students enrolling at Vincennes University receive priority.
The deadline to apply is May 7, 2025.
