Vincennes University Theater is bringing Schoolhouse Rock Live! to the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center April 11–13.
The musical is based on the classic educational cartoon and features songs about grammar, math, history, and more.
Program Director and Assistant Professor Kendra Klauser said the decision to produce the show was inspired by its continued popularity in classrooms. “Kids are starting to know it because teachers use it in the classroom now that it’s all available on YouTube,” Klauser said. “We thought this would be a really fun musical to do for the younger residents of Vincennes.”
Performances are set for 7 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for VU students, and free for children under two.
