Motorist Jailed For Going over 100 mph

A New York man was arrested Monday night after being clocked at over 100 miles per hour on U.S. 50 in Knox County.

Indiana State Police say Master Trooper Gary Goodman stopped  35-year-old Jose Amlicar Franco-Flores of White Plains, New York around the 16-mile marker for driving 113 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone. During the traffic stop, Franco-Flores reportedly showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.

He was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail, where he was booked at 9:01 p.m. on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and reckless driving. His bond was set at $4,000.
