The Town of Monroe City is rolling out a new alert system called REACH Alert to keep residents and businesses informed about local emergencies and disruptions.
The service will notify users about waterline breaks, boil advisories, road closures, accidents, hazmat situations, AMBER and Silver alerts, police activity, and civic events. However, residents must register to receive alerts.
To sign up, go to www.v2.reachalert.com select “Town of Monroe City” under Network, and enter your contact information. You can choose to get alerts via text, call, or email, and households may register multiple numbers and addresses.
If you need help registering or don’t have computer access, call REACH Alert at 877-307-9313 for assistance.
Town officials remind residents say if you don’t register you won’t receive messages.
