Vincennes University will launch an Early College Online program in summer 2025, giving Indiana high school students a new way to earn college credit.
The program is open to students in grades 9–12 at public, private, and home schools. It offers courses taught by VU faculty and helps students work toward the Indiana College Core, which all high schools are now required to offer under a 2024 state law.
Some schools may not have enough credentialed teachers to meet the requirement. VU’s online option helps fill that gap.
Students can earn at least 30 credits at $100 per credit hour, with low-cost textbooks. VU says that’s about 70% cheaper than attending a public university for a year.
