A story of growing up in the 1940’s Midwest and 9-year-old Ralphie’s quest for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. He pleads with his mom, his teacher and Santa Claus. All with the response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!” It’s all here: the exploding furnace; the school bully; a dare about a tongue on a lamp post; an Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie’s father winning a lamp shaped like a woman’s leg in a net stocking; Ralphie’s fantasy scenarios and more.
