The City of Vincennes has received a $100,000 Target Lasting Change grant from the Knox County Community Foundation to help fund an inclusive playground at Gregg Park.

The grant will support the Next Level Gregg Park project, which focuses on accessible playground equipment and features for children of all abilities. Mayor Joe Yochum says the goal is to create a space where all children can “play, explore, and learn together.”

An outdoor presentation of the grant took place at Gregg Park, with Mayor Yochum, Parks Superintendent J.R. Field, and Park Board members in attendance.

The TLC grant program has provided over $305,000 to Knox County projects since 2008, supporting initiatives that enhance quality of life and economic vitality. This marks the fifth grant awarded under the initiative.  Previous recipients include Life After Meth Inc., Children and Family Services’ Hope’s Voice program, the Salvation Army Vincennes, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
