South Knox High School senior Savannah Staggs has been awarded the 2025 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Knox County. The scholarship covers full tuition, fees, and up to $900 annually for books and equipment at any eligible Indiana college or university.
The Knox County Community Foundation made the announcement December 19th.
Staggs, who plans to study biology at Indiana University, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, calling it a “life-changing dream” that eases the financial burden of her education.
Recipients are chosen for academic excellence, community involvement, and leadership. The Lilly Scholars Network also provides resources to connect scholars with opportunities statewide.
Since its inception in 1997, the program has granted scholarships to over 5,300 Indiana students, supporting higher education and community engagement across the state.
