Good Samaritan is preparing for the future with the announcement of a leadership succession plan aimed at ensuring continued success and growth. Current President and CEO Rob McLin has revealed plans to retire in January 2026, with the organization’s Board of Governors naming Chief Operating Officer Adam Thacker as his successor.
McLin, who has been instrumental in shaping Good Samaritan over the past decade, expressed confidence in Thacker’s ability to lead the organization. “Over the last 10 years, I have witnessed Adam grow into an incredible leader who has Good Samaritan’s best interest at heart,” McLin said. “I am confident Adam will do a phenomenal job leading and growing our organization for years to come.”
To ensure a smooth transition, Thacker will spend the next year working closely with McLin. Beginning in January, Thacker’s title will change to President and Chief Administrative Officer, granting him additional responsibilities as he prepares to take the reins as President and CEO.
Thacker shared his gratitude for the opportunity and praised the organization’s mission. “Good Samaritan plays an incredibly vital role in this region as the provider of choice in healthcare and the employer of choice for the talented providers and caregivers that deliver on our mission and vision each day,” Thacker said. “Rob has served as my mentor for the past 10 years, and I am very appreciative of the strong foundation he has laid in this role.”
Good Samaritan employs nearly 1,800 caregivers and remains committed to its mission of delivering quality healthcare to the community. With this succession plan, the organization is positioning itself for continued excellence and sustainability in the years ahead.
