Starting today, Knox County Girl Scouts will be out selling cookies through March 2nd.

Lyndsay Alvey, Marketing and Communications Manager for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana, says the annual cookie program is a major fundraiser that helps scouts fund a variety of activities.

“Cookies are the core of how girls get to really fund their year, so they’re so important. All proceeds stay local with our girls, allowing them to choose their own experiences—whether it’s STEM adventures, outdoor travel, camps, or even international trips” she said. “This year, we have a group traveling to Costa Rica. The cookie program is essential because it helps girls take part in opportunities they might not otherwise have.”

This will be the last year for the Toast-Yay! cookie, a French toast-inspired treat, so fans are encouraged to stock up while they can. However, classic favorites like Thin Mints, Tagalongs, and other popular varieties will remain.

If you don’t know a Girl Scout, you can find cookies online at girlscouts-gssi.org. Credit, debit, PayPal, and Venmo are now accepted at cookie booths.
