A traffic stop in Sullivan County turned into a police chase, eventually resulting in an accident and an arrest.
Sullivan County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for an equipment violation around 11 p.m. in Shelburn. The driver, 36-year-old Brandon Houser, was said to have refused to exit and fled. The chase ended when Houser’s vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later booked into the Sullivan County Jail. Houser faces charges of felony resisting law enforcement and operating while intoxicated.
