Two local organizations have received $1,000 grants to support their community-focused efforts.

First City Sunrise was awarded funding through the Knox County Community Foundation’s Knox Gives Grant Program. The grant was made possible by a recommendation from advisory board member Nash Dunn. First City Sunrise provides temporary supportive housing and case management for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Camp Wildwood also received $1,000, thanks to a donation from Duke Energy. The funds will support educational programming for youth, families, and groups across Knox County. Established in 1946, Camp Wildwood operates on 10.5 acres in Vincennes and relies on volunteers to provide year-round activities.
