Join the Rangers and volunteers of George Rogers Clark National Historical Park for an afternoon of high-flying fun at our “Soar into the Sky” Kite Day!

Inspired by Washington, D.C.’s beloved Blossom Kite Festival, we’re bringing the same colorful energy to the windswept banks of the Wabash River. Watch the sky come alive with kites of every shape and size as we celebrate spring with joy, movement, and creativity.

🌬️ Who’s invited? Kite flyers of all ages and skill levels!

Bring your favorite kite to fly, or just come out and enjoy the view! Don’t have a kite? No worries—we’ll have kite-making kits available for kids to build and decorate their very own sky-bound creations.

Whether you’re a seasoned kite enthusiast or just looking for some family-friendly outdoor fun, this event promises beauty, laughter, and a whole lot of wind-powered wonder.
